Cctv Inspections & Reports

What is CCTV inspections & reporting?

The internal inspection of underground pipes employs robotic CCTV, as well as other sensor technologies like sonar and laser, to verify the conduit’s structural integrity and adherence to design specifications. Pipes undergo assessment according to national standards (typically WSA05 or NZPIM), enabling the generation of detailed reports that pinpoint service and structural issues.
Inspection empowers asset owners to take focused measures to address these issues through pipeline rehabilitation or cleansing, or to closely monitor their progression. This ensures that service level requirements are fulfilled and minimizes the potential for incidents and insurance claims.

What makes our Pipeline CCTV Inspection and reporting unique?

With SSA’s pipeline inspection and condition assessment services, we prioritize minimizing the impact on your operations while delivering detailed reports that include structural and serviceability ratings, complying with WSA and IPWEA standards. Our systems are adaptable to sewer and stormwater assets of all sizes, featuring laser profiling capabilities. Using remotely operated 6-wheel drive CCTV robots, our systems effortlessly navigate bends and pits. We utilize industry-standard reporting software like Wincan.
Additionally, our team offers pipe rehabilitation recommendations for identified defects, including scheduling immediate action for critical faults. As part of our pipeline inspection and condition assessment, we provide Graphic Information System (GIS) mapping through UtilityTrack (UT), our proprietary web-based GIS portal. UT enables real-time data transfer, facilitating swift action to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.

Our Pipeline Inspection and Condition Assessment (CCTV) offering includes:

CCTV Investigations:

Inspecting pipelines ranging from 100mm to 2500mm in diameter, with the capability to cover continuous lengths of up to 500m. Our vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art HD 1080p cameras, solar panels, battery banks, and wifi/5G data connections for eco-friendly and efficient operations.

Multi-sensor Inspection (MSI) Profiling:

Combining an HD panoramic camera, sonar, and infrared laser, our MSI profiler delivers accurate empirical data on pipeline conditions without the need for personnel to walk through high-flow pipelines.

Laser Profiling:

Our laser profiler creates precise pipe profiles, allowing for automated measurement and profiling of pipes ranging from 150mm to 3m in diameter.

Push Camera CCTV Investigations:

Employing waterproof, high-resolution cameras, suitable for inspecting narrow pipelines and sewage systems (<150mm in diameter). Fixed Zoom Cameras: Equipped with powerful lighting and optical zoom capabilities, ideal for identifying structural issues and blockages in pipes ranging from DN225 to DN2250.

Jet Cameras:

Attached to high-pressure jetting/combination units, these cameras capture pre and post-clean footage, ensuring blockages are effectively cleared and identifying major structural issues.

Boat Surveys:

Utilized in large diameter pipes with fast water flow, our CCTV boat floats on the surface and provides a comprehensive 360° profile using HD cameras, laser profiling, and sonar
